What does he mean by "the idea of a tomato"?
Who else believes that the supermarket has no real season? I mean, from what they are saying I agree, anyone else?
I think he means that what we think of as a tomato is not what the product actually is
Well, Mrs. V, I think it means that even though the tomato grows in one season now we grow it all year 'round.
"the idea of a tomato" I think he means that what the producers do is not natural, obviously. They use chemicals to ripen them.
Re: the seasons, we ship from all over the world - summer in Chile means strawberries in January for us
What story don't they want told? The one about our food?
Uhhh, "the idea of a tomato" can be linked with the concept, the ideal of what we want to see. We don't want to know that a tomato is a husk
I think that it's interesting that chicken slaughter houses are filled with abused chickens and workers.
How does one not know where the food he eats comes from?
"They" don't want you to see what actually is happening to the food you are eating before it gets to you.
They don't want us to really know how our food is made.
I also didn't know that the workers at these places are also abused
Mrs. V, yes that's true. When we are here in the cold, we still get to eat 'fresh' strawberries.
Well, strawberries are kinda gross, anyway. I wonder how eating these fruits at the wrong time affect us as humans?
Is it because it is unhealthy and prepared in a disgusting way?
What are factories really good for? Does this work for food?
Personally, I don't think the workers are abused. Like he's saying now, they just do the same thing over and over.
Yet still, we people find a way to tell us, thankfully there are people out there who care enough to tell us, right?
"The idea of a tomato"? that sounds insane. An almost fake tomato? it just seems wierd to have tomatoes that are forced to rippen.
The factories are good for taking care of the animals before they are slaughtered and used for meat. They supply us with food.
Meat actually does taste different when the animal eats different feed.
Wow, McDonalds purchases the most potatoes. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
I agree with you Hayley, having a tomato rippen before it's truly ready, what is wrong with us today?
I think it's interesting how it was a 25% to a 80% increase in the meat packing industry
Yea, you probably shouldn't be Palacio.
Maryclare -But what do you mean by "taking care" of the animals?
Its scary how beef buyers control so much
There is that chance that the chickens and workers aren't abused. They could just be saying that to scare us. They might be abused but who c
It really is 3 or 4 companies controlling the meat. Which is surprising.
*can know for sure
Is all the meat they sell in the supermarkets in the freezer section processed? Like the meat that come in bags, such as chicken nuggets?
Redesigned the chicken? So... you could say... a super chicken... A... robot chicken, you could say? :D
I agree Adolfo, we never know how much people control until we look deep into the market.
Maryclare - you have to read the label to find out whether it's just "meat" or whether it's reformed/ground up first
Yes Palacio, a /robot/ chicken indeed.
Maryclare, from what I have experienced, most of the meat is chemically treated.
Same with frozen fish and "steak sandwich" from the freezer section
The way that those chicks are treated is TERRIBLE! It is abusive and harmful and it makes me think that I should think again about chicken.
Ew. Robot chicken
Yes, that is true Melanie. Most of the food now in days is chemically treated. To taste better to us.
You don't think it would taste good, Mrs. V?
But which one is healthier???? 49 days or 3 months?
Science = good. $$ = good.
Why do we humans think chemicals taste better? Probably because it's all we're used to, right?
My dad has tried coming up with better ways to treat meat so it tastes better.
Agreed Palacio, agreed.
I think that it is incredible that chickens now are way bigger than before
Melanie-how so?
Keeping chickens in the dark can be harmful in the way that the would be blinded. also they wouldn't be getting the vitamin C from the sun.
It also might turn them into vampire chickens.
Adolfo - Steroids.
The fact that so many companies refuse to talk, shows how badly the animals are being treated.
Palacio - Mmmm, blood sucking chickens, yummy!
Rin, Adolfo - mostly it's breeding for size/body parts
It seems like disease is so easily spread with all the chickens all packed together.
Melanie - I agree that there should be a better way to treat them. I think that they would taste better if they were treated nicely.
I can't remember, but he is a butcher, and worked for a couple pork companies.
hayley, it's not the way the animals are treated while they're alive, but the way the meat is treated
It's appalling how poorly the living conditions of the chickens are, you have to wear a face mask just to breathe in the chicken house.
no matter what, animals will be abused even if you try to treat them as nice as possible, they're still killed.
Chicken - *Tossed.* BOKBOK.
Melanie oh haha nevermind
WONDER WORD
latino: TRUE!! i'm not even kidding, i've watched the workers on the floor of the plant going through, finding things wrong with the innards
I think that it's sad how badly the chickens are treated.
So, is the idea that we don't eat chicken at all? How are farmers supposed to make a living? How (or what) should we eat?
I agree, MC, but there are more humane ways of obtaining the meat and killing the animal.
This is a dumb question, but ...eating organic, does that include eating meat??? (stupid i know)
I have to agree with Maryclare, its not like you say I love you to the chicken before you eat it.
Maryclare - yes, if you eat organic, you can eat meat.
.... I do.
Happy Chicken is good tasting Chicken. 8D
Justin - haha very true
I say i love you to my chickens before I kill them..
no question is a stupid question!!!!!
Preach it! We are entitled to know what we're eating!
i think we should just all eat animal crackers :P
Mrs. V, the way the chickens are treated should be changed, and the way they're killed should be changed.
Remember, we need these animals to survive (our ancestors weren't vegetarians) but the system has to change
I am considering becoming a vegetarian. or at least a flexitarian.
Think about a restaurant - you would send your food back if it was yucky
This seems a lot like sharecropping, caused completly by monopolies. It would take an international effort to eliminate this.
i was a flexitarian- not eating any type of bird, but that was for a year
It's true, everything in the supermarket is the same, just made differently! Rebellion!!!!
Think about your breakfast - was it a "clever rearrangement of corn"?
i could be a veggie but i jus cant give up chicken, there goooooooodddddd
It's corn. It's all corn. That's just weird.
Justin - sharecropping is not a bad description
probs
No I had a bagel/water
this is all exactly why people should be eating locally.
i had an apple..and now gold fish for breakfast :/
Are... corn muffins made of corn? Or is that a trick? :
Palacio - Rebellion?
corn=bad
No corn in a bagel
Palacio - Rebellion?
Are... corn muffins made of corn? Or is that a trick? :
this is all exactly why people should be eating locally.
this is all exactly why people should be eating locally.
I love meat too much to become a vegetarian. Vegetarians look at their meat as a actual living animal. I see it as deliciousness on a plate
We are into seriously cheap food. US spends 30%
Palacio - They are made of Pancakes.
Justin, a bagel most likely has high-fructose CORN syrup... just sayin'
food =
whoops - less than 20% of budget on food, Europeans more than 30%
THATS GROSS
good point emma...
om nom nom. corn.
Why isn't everything made differentlyyyy? What? What is she sayyyyyyyinggggg?
wait...theres corn in diapers?
Cheaper means less quality, and that's even more so with food. I wouldn't get a cheap parachute, that's for sure.
Is corn high in fat?
Maryclare - I see what you mean but I think that vegetarians see it as when the chicken was alive it was abused.
Try starch
Hayley- I guess I understand that. But meat is just too delicious to give up.
Ha SarahP
Maryclare - Everything is high in fat. :c
i had corn flakes for breakfast... are they really made from corn or is there some substitute? are they really as healthy as they seem?
I think it's amazing that corn can be used for almost anything.
I feel like meat shouldn't be expensive because it is so popular so they're still making lots of $$ off of meat no matter what the price
Corn doesn't have much fat, but it does have some = corn oil
Mrs. V - Sorry for all the faces I'm using.. Helps show my mood. LOL.
most cereal isnt that healthy because of the sugar content
like mrs. van meter said, corn is in almost all of our food. the animals we eat, they eat corn, so technically we eat what they eat.
Hahaha, I'm imagining if one of those trains carrying corn caught on fire.
Corn can even be used for ethnol, corn power. (Downside all the energy it produces it uses in transportation.
Palacio - They would tough, at least 1 would.
WHY IS THERE A HOLE IN A COW?
how does he know it doesnt hurt the cow
They've discovered some weird chemical from corn that can't be processed by our bodies, so it goes right through you like swallowing gum.
That's... that's not normal... is it?
how would he know if it doesnt hurt the cow? HMMM!?
WHY SHOW US POOP?? EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!
He speaks cow...
omg that is disgusting. reaching into the cow?!!!
that's what i was thinking sarah
What exactly was mad cow disease?
Ethanol is an alcohol, not a fat - but means higher prices for meat since there's competition for the product
Holey Cow!
Justin you so punny.
i want a cow ):
He's actually studying the digestion of the cow in situ
Not exactly your typical petting zoo
Mrs. V - That's.. Still just.. Ewww, no.
ive seen that before just pigs..
Mc, it was caused by cows eating poopie and eating other cows.
So, sometimes we can be eating poop??? because they said manure gets on the meat...
it seems as if the more mistreated the animal is, the unhealthier it will be on your plate.
they clean the meat lol
I want to pet the meat
cows are awesome :) too adorable to be killed. why do they have to be SO delicious?
Maryclare - Oh god.. So gross. >C
It is very expensive to take care of these animals, so they do everything cheaply
I don't think there is a nice way to treat animals if you know you're just going to kill them.
Maryclare - yes! And large producers mean the contaminated meat is shipped all over the place
more and more reasons to eat locally.
Peanut Butter.. WHY? WHY YOU SO MEAN? WHY?
So we have no way of knowing if the meat we eat is healthy? We just gotta eat and see?
pretty much..unless you butcher it yourself
Because we're omnivores, we need to eat, which is better, staving us or quality producing
maddie, I agree. but not everyone has a local farm available, and that means changing people's lifestyle.
Maryclare - yup the testing is so sporadic that you can't catch all the germs until after someone gets sick
Uhhh, that's like Russian Roulette, except instead of a gun, it's a hamburger. So... maybe it isn't.
Hey mrs. v-we should turn this off because i like mea ttoo much to be knowing all this nasty stuff :)
*Eye twitch, shutter.* I did not need to see that meat that looked like Pasta.
Justin, there's a way to get better meat so we can still eat it. it's called organic.
Palacio - That's all life is anyway, isn't it?
rin-you make me lol
well its what you see in the supermarket rin. its just the way its processed
*eye twitch, shutter* i'm with yah, rin!
Is it better not to know? It's still there even if you don't look
Have any of you ever read "The Jungle"??? It tells all about what the meat facotires are like-really gross.
emma- organic only uses natraul production, it doesnt change the treatment of animals
Amen Justin
Mrs. V - I know. I just.. Don't wanna see it looking like Pasta.. Palacio - PASTA!!!!
if you go to whole foods or trader joes, the packages meat has labels on it indicating whether it's grown locally.it also tells you the farm
The Jungle is actually the precursor to today's current system. Better?
Nope. At least we have TV now.
Well typically, Justin, organic meat is allowed more space, and the animals are kept outside, so it is better treatment.
I can't tell whether this video is trying to tell us the dangers of eating meat, and or showing us that it's ok to eat meat?
Palacio - And Pasta, real pasta. Lots of it.
but the animals will be killed anyway. so, the treatment doesn't make a difference, unless they are feeding the better
definitely the dangers
how sad :(
)*:
Well, this just got depressing.
typically doesn't protain to companies, they do as little as possible to raise the prices such as the title organic
they should have just given him water, let him die happy.
my kids arent eating meat
Maryclare - it's more about *knowing* and making conscious choices
sue them.
It's unfair that people have to end up sick from what's happening because of the food. Just, make it safer already!!
dying is not happy!
Justin, in order to put "organic" on your product, you have to meet FDA regulations. You can't just say it and lie.
Maryclare - Agreed.
Depends on who dies
I agree maryclare
Emma and Justin going at it
emma- that does make sense. I agree.
foods will have labels saying "fda approved"
Who else has been in that subway?
Organically raised, doesn't necessarily mean processed clean.
*Wants happy thoughts.*
What does FDA approved mean? Is that enough to mean good and healthy?
"Kevin's Law".. how nice
Liberation?
Doesn't the board of health go into these factories and see what is going on?
FDA approved simply means that the food passes their tests, which are usually lackluster
being fda approved doesnt meant its good and healthy
The FDA has gotten lazy, so I kinda have trouble trusting their judgment.
"Industry was more protected than my son." Ouch.
i don't understand how these people can easily do this to animals. it's crazy how cheap and heartless people are
is it? hmm.. interesting
Not enough inspectors to be there on site
Can't we just liberate everything? Who's with me? Palacio maybe?
I think FDA approved just means that the food looks to be ok to eat, but may not be necessarily healthy.
The goverment can't pay for everything so budget cuts apparnetly hit the FDA
@Rin: We must liberate the Poke- I mean, the animals. The animals is what I meant.
It would be nice if this whole ecoli scandle would die down and there would be some way to prevent ecoli in meat products
Can't they just shut it down? (i know it would be losing TONS of money) but still.
"Defective Product"? What is this?!
FDA was one of the areas cut in current iteration of budget
Palacio - Agreed, and go to the land of happiness, correct? *Ahem.*
Well, it's not like we need food or anything, right?
I think you should definitely go back to see what is wrong with the system, AS WELL as moving forward
maddie, i have to say that its not that people are heartless. my dad had a butcher shop when he was 17 and hes not heartless at all
rin- anarky at our population levels would lead to widespread famine such as in Africa, especailly for animals.
how is this all legal? that's what i want to know.
O.M.G. That's creepy.
this is true
@Justin - Oh well.
I say we all join together and create a nice organic healthy farm. It could be like a family band, but a class farm instead..
maddie- what's not legle here is legal in some other country
mel- i agree, maddie-they aren't heartless, they are really just doing what they are told..
Thats a cool idea emma
one way or another youre going to have to kill the animal to get the meat. thats all im saying
Is a small butcher a bad person? Probably more conscientious about clean than the factory
Welcome to Rapture? This stuff is gross. I don't want to see this, I have chicken for lunch today.
@Emma - No animals well be slain will they?
Let's do it!
every country is different
i can't even imagine what they do it other countries.. that makes me sick to my stomach
In other countries - you can track the burger back to the cow and the farm and its family tree.
@Palacio - Agreed, lets just liberate all the creatures of the earth.
of course, but we will name them first and have a ceremony for each animal. Much nicer that way.
maddie- yea I bet its alot worse but who knows
I don't think any butcher is a bad person. I think they are simply doing their job, and many won't agree, but they are not bad people.
has anyone else stopped watching the video because of this chat...
The US is the worst at this kind of stuff. It mass-produces the most of any other country
In Canada & France it's way better!
small butchers arent bad people, and neither are people who work for big companies. thats what i think
i would LOVE to track my burger back, just had one the other day ;)
I'm with yah, Mc. It's the huge companies that employee the butchers that are the bad people.
what's different in canada and france?
justin makes me lol too
No, i don't think anyone in the meat industry is bad. They are just providing meat, they may be a little dumb, but none of them are bad.
In France you can see on the package which cow died to feed you. And the farms keep records
@Palacio - They are denying us liberation!
okay as bad as this makes me feel, watching them eat mcdonalds makes me hungry. i could definitely go for a big mac right now
its just the health concept when they have the animals live that i think is bad
We should invite the french in here ! they would LOVE AMERICA
and in france and ireland, meat is grass fed instead of corn, and there are more free range.
We should invite the french in here ! they would LOVE AMERICA
its just the health concept when they have the animals live that i think is bad
We should invite the french in here ! they would LOVE AMERICA
AMERIKA
Yea, why can we buy McDonalds for less then veggies?
because it costs less to process and "clean"
McDonald's has horrid food. Bleh, I want my broccoli and carrots please.
@Maddie - Yea, that's true, but it's sad, isn't it?
what causes diabetes?
Who else thinks we should let the animals free and when they are old enough we should bring them in? Actual 'free' roaming cattle and chicke
chicken*
wasnt it 1 in 5 americans born after 2000 will get diabites? i think that was when we watched supersize me in health
I think that is amazing how diabetes is now affecting children and teens. American obesity is overwhelming.
Rin - on some farms, that's sort of what they do
but then they'd be tormenting the animals when they're old and weak
and people eat veal
Amedika - sign out and sign in with real name or you don't get credit!
@Maddie - When the body can't produce enough insulin to handle the sugar in the body.
Maddie - there are "humane" ways to kill quickly and painlessly
maddie - it does seem strange that we wouldn't wait for cows to become an adult before we kill them.
but people are too cheap to do that
sorry mrs. vanmeter..that was me
@Maddie (Cont) - Also when you're overweight.
:-)
why can't they do that all the time? does it have to just be when they're old?
@Maddie - Because, most people don't think of it right away.
): it sounded like it was saying ow
this is sick.
Who else feels bad for those ducks? Or are the chickens..?
Maddie - it's not whether they're old, it's how it's processed - factory or not?
that was a bit graphic lol
What is that a chicken funnel?
Diabetes is caused by not having the right nutrition in our bodies. That's what i believe anyway. Google says low blood sugar, are we born l
Rin- I do, thats just wrong
That was actually them killing the chicken - my ggm used to do that
@Justin - Thank you, those poor Torch- I mean, chickens.
I guess I'm wrong
Uhhhh, do they have to kill the chickens right where all their friends can see?
It seems like the chickens know that they're going to die
That's just traumatizing.
Paula - some diabetes is genetic, but some is caused by poor diet
i think i would rather eat chickens from then than the processed stuff from huge companies. who else?
@Palacio - Well.. Maybe it makes it less.. Painful to die themselves?
them*
@Palacio i concur
No. It's just traumatizing.
What's wrong with having a open range farm? doesn't seem that bad. might not be as clean but it doesn't look like it's filled with diseases
Palacio- It's their daily life, they're used to it, like moving the lawn... the grass mutilation goes unnoticed
Melanie - definitely.
@Paula - Well done good chap.
bugs and such could contaminate the food
@Justin: But grass doesn't SCREAM.
Hayley - I can't help but think that "dirt" is better than "germs"
maddie - that is true
@Palacio - It's true.. Poor bugs. :'C
Maddie - think what was contaminating the food in the processing plants! Manure! Blech.
yeah but maddie, im sure they clean the meat. would you rather eat something that was touched by a bug? or treated with chemicals?
Mrs. V - Same. dirt isn't as harmful as we think.
Well they are both bad but I could deal with dirts flavor haha
@Palacio- its just an anology, point is the farmers do it every day so they have a restisnace to the screaming and don't notice it
i think wherever the meat is processed, they'll use chemicals, as long as people don't find out. they're in it for the money, not our health
It's true, what could /really/ be in the food we eat? Will we ever truly know?
I have no issue eating my veggies right in my garden w/o washing.
@Justin - That's just.. Just awful to think about.. *Cries.*
No. Rin, I don't think we will.
ah ive seen that stuff
@rin just don't buy Japainize anythime soon, i'll take garbage over radioactive garbage
I think I am changing the menu for Easter dinner.
NO! not the jungle!
haha- Mrs. V
The Jungle, who else remembers this sad and depressing book?
I remember a boring book.
So, if they got better, when did they get worse again?
how much more expensive is locally grown food?
@ Mrs. V, to what their is problems in all our food
Mrs. V- I don't blame you. I think i might consider vegetarianism.
or locally raised animals
@Justin - ..No comment, just not a one at all.
@Justin to go to the Purely Food farm and buy some nice chickens from them!
I find that humans would rather not put a face to their food, which is why they shape meat into something unidentifiable- like Mcnuggets.
maddie, i think locally grown would cost more because they dont use pesticides and stuffs and so its harder for them to grow
It costs $8 for a chicken instead of $2 but they taste so good
@Mrs. V - Agreed
palacio..they have dino shaped nuggets :P
meat looks nothing like an animal. if it did, not as many people would eat it.
I can see how it would be dangerous. I mean, helllooo they're handling large knives and there are diseases that can come with handling meat.
@SP agreed, they don't look like a living thing
@Palacio - McNuggets are gross, ick. *Shutter.*
@ Mrs. V do you know any of these farms, I never see any
eating locally is also healthier. okay, it's a little expensive, but you're doing yourself and the animals a favor.
justin if you look at my wiki there is an example of one around us
@Maddie - Agreed, very much so.
Great. The movie's getting depressing again.
purely chicken
AHHHH, that beeping.. My head.. *Espoldes.*
@maddie, the problem though s that espicailly in this economic downturn, some can't affor the extra price
maddie- thanks
http://doylestown.coop/local-producers/purely-farm-organically-pastured-meats/
maddie - yea even though it is expensive there are alot of benefits.
@Palacio - Like the ending of-- I mean, liberation time?
And my husband's cousin raises a couple of cows a year in the "backyard" of his farm
Justin - then they shouldn't eat as much meat. either eat meat humanely or don't at all
Is it really cheaper? I mean, we need to use more energy to make it than we do other food.
What defines honest food?
The farmstand at the Glenside Farmer's market?
justin - how it's priced?
I think if people reduced their meat in the first place, then the animals would be treated better. The issue is that we need so much-
killing animals in a way that will not harm them
-so each animal becomes more of a number than an actual living thing.
"no desire to be at Walmart"
@Mrs. V - I think it really is honest food, I mean.. We can probably trust it more, right?
Mrs. V, no I mean what traits, the leve of care for animal, the level of mass production
@Van: "Save money, live better" ironic, huh?
@SP exactly right - our demand creates the system
@Palacio - Yea, that's how the country is anyway. All we are to the government are numbers, after all.
@Mrs. V target jsut resently was able to undercut Walmart, so what does trha mean
But is the meat at Target any cleaner? Better?
Renegade Biologists? That sounds... totally not cool. Worst super heroes ever.
probably not
Mrs. V, I doubt it, I'm just saying, everyone hits Walmart but the other stores are just as much at fault
@ Palacio, you got a better name?
To build capacity, but keep "soul" organic means paying a premium
@Justin: The Bionic Plant Wonders. BAM.
Does customer at Walmart want organic?
Or does me purchasing at Walmart mean that I am "voting" for organic with my wallet?
i think that the customers at walmart dont care, they just want cheap
does anyone know a farmer?
@Mrs. V, not now, but perhaps in the future once organic is more established here, yes, and I'd vote
@Melanie, yes my grandparents rent land to a farmer
I know farmers! My in-laws grow corn, soybeans, and tobacco
Why is it that we don't know the real farmer? Lets go meet some.
field trip idea! visit a local farm
@Maddie - I'm on board.
wait..so the soybeans arent really soybeans?
Ew. http://www.reuters.com/article/2010/07/09/monsanto-roundup-idUSN0824689420100709
@Mel: Super soy beans, probably.
Monsano? What? Monsune? *Confused.* Wait, do they bring rain?
@rin, lets face it when we see farmer as our recomendation for jobs we scouf, farmers tend to stay farms and city dwellers tend to stay city
Wow, farmers can't even save their own seeds to use, or they get a legal punch in the face? Huh.
WONDER WORD
@rin ?
Can you imagine a surveilance team watching to see if you save your seeds?
@Palacio - Maybe the government are just mean.
the government is awful. they're full of secrets
yay moe!
Government control of our lives! It's happening people! Hasn't it been to farmers for a while though?
It's not the gov't, it's the Monsanto corporation.
why can't the government shut them down?
@Mrs. V, Big Gv't, Big Bussiness, what's the difference?
@Mrs. V - That's like what people want to do in life anyway. Take over every aspect of people's lives. Wouldn't you say?
Microsoft v. Monsanto anyone?
apple
@maddie, the gov't is consered with the ression and getting relected, not farms
I get plenty of peppers and tomatoes that pop up in my garden. Do I have to pay Burpee for them?
this is obviously inhumane. the fact that the government allows it to be legal is ridiculous.
Linux and OpenOffice
if a movie like this is out and showing us how our food is really processed, don't you think they government would do something?
they*
the***
@mrs.v...i dont think so because youre only providing for you and your family and who ever you give the veggies to
What's with all of these operating systems being spoken of? What about Novell?
@maddie, if people make it obvious they care the gov't will care otherwise nothing will happen
I can use Linux. =D
so many people make it obvious that they care
Anyway, @Mrs. V - I don't think you should. That's just ridiculous.
they even made a movie to show how much they care
Maddie, who has the money?
ze government
we do.. and for some reason people keep spending it on this cheap murder
Think about 3rd world farmers who buy Monsanto seed. No chance.
@maddie..its like hollywood making movies about murder..sorta
It's also why GMO stuff isn't labeled in the store. If you don't know... In Europe, GMO stuff is labeled.
Moral: Bush sucks
@Mel - True.
it's not just bush. it's everyone in congress
this can't be traced back to one person. it's a lot of people
It is everyone.
What's with 'cloned' foods? What? Why? Couldn't it be worse for us? >V
This is verging on science fiction.
*Raging.*
@Mrs. V - True.
@maddie true, but the president has more power than any of them, including the most power to expose this
Why do we want to be so efficient? I mean, we really aren't being efficient, are we?
Its ridiculous that these companies have so much control over a lot
it's awful that they disable the cows walking abilities
it's awful that they disable the cows walking abilities
do you think people are eating more locally grown foods now?
didnt we sing this song in elem school?
i think it was awful how the cows could not walk because they were so brutally beaten
I think that we should eat more healthy food, who else thinks we should make it easier to afford?
@maddie its just like the treatment of people in coal companies of old
no. i don't think people really realize what's in their food
great song
The more you buy, the more they'll supply, the less the price
@MC - Agreed.
i agree rin. healthier food seems like it costs a little more such as whole foods' trader joe's, etc
nice dance moves justin
http://takepart.com/foodinc
@Mrs. V - When I get a job, lower prices will come.
